EMDR

Healing is possible.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-backed therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, distressing memories, anxiety, and negative self-beliefs. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess painful experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or defining.

If you've found yourself stuck in patterns tied to past experiences — whether from childhood, relationships, or specific traumatic events — EMDR can help you process those memories in a way that brings relief, clarity, and emotional freedom.

In our work together, I’ll guide you through the EMDR process at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Over time, many clients find that their distress lessens, self-worth improves, and they're better able to respond to life with calm, confidence, and resilience.

Healing is possible — not just in your mind, but in your whole body and being.

“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive to its destination full of hope.” - Maya Angelou

How I Can Help

EMDR therapy is helpful for processing distressing life events. At the start of our work, we will begin by giving you more skills to manage your emotions as we come up with a collaborative plan. We will then work to identify negative beliefs that have impacted your life and the events you wish to work on.

I have worked extensively with people from all walks of life and backgrounds during the 13 years of being a therapist. I am trained in EMDR which is one of the most researched and effective forms of trauma therapy in existence.
